ReachNow Ride to Transit Program

Don't sweat the Seattle Squeeze. We're excited to share that we're covering transit fare for Seattleites who use ReachNow services to get to or from five key transit hubs between January 7, 2018 and February 15, 2019. This offer is part of the Seattle Department of Transportation, Sound Transit and King County Metro’s “Rideshare to Transit” program, a collaboration between public and private agencies to provide first/last mile options for commuters during the Viaduct closure. We're isupporting this program in an effort to incentivize shared-use and help reduce the number of personal vehicles on the road during the most historic traffic period in Seattle.

Beginning January 7, we will issue a $3.00 credit for every ride sharing or car sharing trip that starts or ends at one of the following transit hubs:

  • Northgate Transit Center Park & Ride
  • University of Washington Station
  • Mt. Baker Station
  • Columbia City Station
  • Othello Station

This offer is automatically applied to qualifying trips.

To support this program, we have expanded the pickup area for  our Ride service, featuring professional drivers, personalization features and no surge pricing. Residents in neighborhoods surrounding transit hubs can now request a Ride from ReachNow on demand or schedule ahead for times when they know exactly when they need to be there. This expansion is on the heels of a significant increase in service area in November that brought Ride to Magnolia, Madison Park, Laurelhurst and other areas of central Seattle.

“As the only participating mobility services company headquartered in Seattle, we feel a responsibility to work collaboratively with the city of Seattle, SDOT and the community to make transportation work better for everyone during the crunch that we’re all going to feel,” said Steve Banfield, CEO, ReachNow. “Making Ride, our newest service offering, more accessible throughout the city is just the start. We know it will take radical creativity to keep Seattle moving over the next five years.”
