How We Kicked Off the Huskies Home Opener

It’s football season and the Huskies are looking like a serious contender for yet another national championship. To kick things off, we decided to head to the home opener this past weekend. Rather than jostle for parking, we decided to use the new ReachNow Ride service to get us to the game.

We scheduled our Ride a day in advance. It was super simple — just tap the calendar icon to the right of the Ride button, pick the date and time, et voila! — our trip was planned. When Saturday rolled around, we got a confirmation text from ReachNow 30-minutes before our Ride was scheduled, and another text when our driver arrived.

We were picked up in a clean, marked BMW 3-Series so there wasn’t any confusion who our driver was. There were free water and candy in the back seats, and the radio had already been set to KEXP as we’d requested.

The game was a blast — the Huskies looked solid and won by the ridiculous score of 45-3. The team introduced Dubs II, their new malamute puppy mascot, who looks like he’s going grow into a real beast.

For $10, we didn’t have to drive or deal with the stress of pre and post-game traffic, and we were dropped off a couple blocks from the stadium.

ReachNow Ride was super easy to use and made the day a lot more fun. Go Dawgs!

If you choose to Drive a ReachNow to the game, check out the car sharing parking spots across from Husky Stadium!
