Now that spring is in full swing, we thought it was time to share a quick update on use of our cars on the Washington State Ferries. The short answer? With your Member Key Card, you're good to go. Use that to lock and unlock your car while aboard the ferry (instead of the app). We do NOT recommend getting on a ferry without a key card.

Over Memorial Day weekend (2017), a few members in Seattle had trouble with ReachNow cars on the ferry. While the use of ferries has been one of the most popular ways for members to get out of town on the weekend, we believe that some of the issues that members faced can be attributed to a security feature built into our cars. This can happen when the car is moving but the car engine is off and the doors are locked.
In the short term while we are testing a solution, we recommend that you avoid bringing cars onto the ferry. If using a ferry is the only way to get where you are planning to go, we recommend that you bring your Member Key Card with you and use in lieu of the App. Should you encounter any issues while using a car on the ferry, please contact member support directly at 1-844-732-2466.
We are working with Washington State Ferries and currently conducting thorough testing to determine a solution that will give you confidence to use our service on any ferry trip.
